种下五七丛竹子，
搭建三两间茅屋。
一条小路略微通向溪边的道路，
并不妨碍屋后山头的景色。
黄叶随着流水或去或留，
白云伴着清风时往时还。
我的生涯仅仅就是如此，
悟道之人少有机关巧算。

I planted five or seven bamboo clumps,
And built a thatched hut with two or three rooms.
A path leads slightly to the streamside road,
It does not block the hilltop by my abode.
Yellow leaves drift with the water, come and go,
White clouds wander with the wind, to and fro.
This is the whole of my life's simple way,
A man of Tao has little trickery to play.
