恭惟道统，一绝千载。

gōng wéi dào tǒng， yī jué qiān zǎi。

ㄍㄨㄥㄨㄟˊ ㄉㄠˋ ㄊㄨㄥˇ，ㄧㄐㄩㄝˊ ㄑㄧㄢㄗㄞˇ。

何绝之久，何续之易。

hé jué zhī jiǔ， hé xù zhī yì。

ㄏㄜˊ ㄐㄩㄝˊ ㄓㄐㄧㄡˇ，ㄏㄜˊ ㄒㄩˋ ㄓㄧˋ。

师友之盛，东南洋洋。

shī yǒu zhī shèng， dōng nán yáng yáng。

曰尹曰谢，曰游曰杨。

恭敬地思念儒家道统，

断绝已有一千年之久。

为何断绝如此之久？

为何接续又如此容易？

师友传承盛况空前，

在东南地区洋洋大观。

有尹焞，有谢良佐，

有游酢，有杨时。

Reverently, the orthodox Way's thread,

Was severed for a thousand years, it's said.

Why was the break so prolonged and deep?

Why was the revival so easy to keep?

The masters and friends flourished in might,

In the southeast, vast and shining bright.

There were Yin, and Xie,

You, and Yang, in their light.
