白话文翻译
五月时在南方漫游，正感到口渴，
欣喜地遇到了丹红的荔枝。
外壳匀称如同仙鹤的顶冠，
果肉显露好似白色的水晶丸。
色泽映照，仿佛离卦象征的火焰，
甘甜特殊，不同于树木结出的酸果。
枝条繁茂，恐怕它们相互沾染，
果实沉重，树木几乎要聚集成团。
像红色的河蚌遗落了珍珠般的颗粒，
又像红犀牛露出了尖角的顶端。
清爽能够消除体内的燥热，
润泽可以洗涤脏腑的干枯。
在那桂岭没有霜冻的地方，
在梅雨时节暴雨将歇的残景中。
一簇簇如同冰蚕所结的茧，
千百个花苞像火凤凰的冠冕。
隔着果瓤，银白色的果肉鲜嫩，
透过薄膜，玉色的浆汁透着寒意。

In southern May, parched, I journeyed on my way,
And joyfully met the litchi's crimson ray.
Its shell, a fairy crane's crown, evenly round,
Its flesh, a crystal white pellet, newly found.
Its hue, like fire, makes the "Li" star glow bright,
Its sweetness, unlike wood's sourness, pure delight.
Lest dense branches taint each other, I fear,
The heavy tree seems to form a solid sphere.
Like red clams leaving behind their pearl-like prize,
Or scarlet rhinos showing their horns' sharp rise.
Its coolness can quench the inner heat and flame,
Its moisture can moisten the parched and dry frame.
Where Cassia Ridge knows no frost's chilling breath,
And Plum-Rain skies see storm's remnants after wrath.
A cluster of silkworm cocoons, icy white,
A thousand buds, the fire-phoenix's crown, bright.
Through the rind, tender silver leaves appear,
Past the membrane, jade-like juice flows cold and clear.
