朝着太湖的西面，还要再向西行。
风中传来远处孤寂的磬声，
松树低垂，旧日的禅房显得低矮。
温暖的床榻常留着野兔栖息的痕迹，
漂流的木杯不曾像犀角般争辩。
何时才能在那城北的寺庙里，
再次听到木鸡的啼鸣？

Master, to what distant land do you go?
West of the Great Lake, and westward still you'll flow.
The solitary chime drifts far on the breeze,
The old hut slants low beneath the pines at ease.
The warm bed oft kept a hare for its rest,
The floating cup never argued, like the rhino's test.
When shall we, at the temple north of the town,
Hear once more the wooden rooster's cry resound?
