咀嚼着甘蔗，我进入一个美妙的境界；
自入冬以来，我幽居的兴致变得悠长。
在这瘴疠之地，我听到一句好言语：
昨夜已有飞霜降临。
篱笆脚下，重阳的意趣依然存在；
未滤的酒中，酝酿着小至时节的香气。
西边邻居的芭蕉即将成熟，
不时送来一梳金黄。

Chewing sugarcane, I enter a sweet realm;
Since winter came, my secluded delight grows long.
In this miasmal land, I hear a pleasant word:
Last night, flying frost did descend.
At the fence's foot, Double Ninth's spirit still dwells;
In the unstrained wine, the Minor Winter's fragrance brews.
The plantains by the western neighbor near ripeness,
Now and then present a comb of yellow.
