我的家族世代传承着儒生的清贫素朴，
我平生都在研习古文。
三年间我思念着故乡，
这一卑微的官职，使我承载着君主的恩典。
我屈节折志，羞于面对官府的黄册名簿；
归隐休致，被许诺享有白云般的自在。
吟咏诗歌，我觉得没有一件事是徒劳的，
我微薄的俸禄，也不妨碍我与人分享。

My family has passed down the scholar's simple life,
All my life I have studied the ancient prose.
For three years I longed for my homeland,
With this humble post, I bear the grace of my lord.
I bend my will, ashamed of the official's yellow roster;
Retiring, I am promised the freedom of white clouds.
Chanting poems, I find no task is wasted,
My meager salary cannot stop me from sharing.
