小小的集市在繁花间聚合；
孤立的城郭在柳林外显得圆融。
鸟鸣声侵扰了寒食节的静谧；
江水的色泽携带着新年的气息。
没有计策能够驱散愁绪，
只好将它推回到酒杯旁边。

What thing is the east wind, that wherever it goes,
It turns all things a verdant hue?
The small market nestles among blooming rows;
The lonely town rounds off beyond willow-view.
Birds' songs intrude upon the Cold Food Day's air;
The river's color bears the New Year's fresh grace.
No scheme to drive my sorrow away I can bear,
So I push it back to the wine-cup's embrace.
