因此她被远嫁到匈奴的穹庐,
漂泊流落,再也没有归期。
再也没有归期——琵琶曲尚未终了,
边塞的胡笳声已急促催逼。
哀伤的弦音流入千家乐谱,
明妃只能作为单于的阏支起舞。
年复一年,依然借着南来的风,
吹拂着她坟茔上那一抔青青的泥土。
您难道没看见汉家嫁出多少位佳人,
却不曾听闻一一传来她们的琵琶声?
灾祸起源于当年娄敬错误的提议,
后人却只怨恨画师毛延寿一人。
Bright Consort's face like a flower's hue,
Outshone all others in the Han palace, true.
Alas, the emperor's eyes could only see
What the painter's hand portrayed for him to decree.
In silence, she preserved her lonely grace,
While time turned truth into a counterfeit face.
Thus, she was sent to wed the nomad's tent,
To drift in exile, with no hope to relent.
No hope to relent—the pipa's song not done,
When border horns hastened, one by one.
Her mournful melody flowed into many a score,
Bright Consort danced as the khan's wife, nothing more.
Year after year, the southern wind still blows,
Carrying dust to where her lonely mound now shows.
Have you not seen how many Han maidens, fair,
Were sent to wed, yet no pipa sounds fill the air?
The disaster began with Lou Jing's flawed advice;
Later generations blame only Mao Yanshou's vice.
