池涸萍黏块，畦荒麦聚埃。

chí hé píng nián kuài， qí huāng mài jù āi。

乖龙一味睡，幽鸟百般催。

guāi lóng yī wèi shuì， yōu niǎo bǎi bān cuī。

池塘干涸，浮萍黏附在土块上，

田畦荒芜，麦苗积聚着尘埃。

乖戾的龙一味沉睡着，

幽深的鸟儿百般啼叫催促。

药包因湿气蒸腾而生出菌类，

衣笼受潮润湿，仿佛成了梅雨季节。

殷勤的一夜雨水，

洗涤出千堆翠绿的颜色。

The pond dries up, duckweeds cling to clods of earth,

The fields lie waste, wheat gathers dust in dearth.

The wayward dragon solely sleeps in deep repose,

The hidden birds with myriad calls the stillness oppose.

Medicine bundles steam and breed mushrooms in the damp,

Clothes by the brazier moisten, turning plum-like stamp.

The earnest night rain pours with diligent embrace,

Washing out a thousand piles of emerald in its trace.
