心空闲有味，境寂澹无营。

xīn kōng xián yǒu wèi， jìng jì dàn wú yíng。

石鼎胀豕腹，幽幽暗泉鸣。

shí dǐng zhàng shǐ fù， yōu yōu àn quán míng。

铜盘印鸟迹，漠漠微云行。

内心空灵闲适才觉有味，

环境寂静淡泊无所营求。

石鼎鼓胀如同猪腹，

幽深处暗泉潺潺鸣响。

铜盘上印着鸟的足迹，

漠漠微云静静飘行。

起身折取枝头的红花，

细细倾尽榼中的清酒。

提壶鸟也在劝人饮酒，

布谷鸟仍在催促耕田。

悠然独往的愿望得以实现，

一笑之间平生志趣已足。

The mind, empty and free, finds flavor deep;

The realm, silent and calm, seeks no design.

The stone tripod swells like a pig's belly,

Where hidden springs murmur, a faint, dark line.

The bronze plate bears bird tracks, lightly impressed,

As faint clouds drift across, in silence dressed.

I rise and pluck red blossoms from the branch,

And slowly pour clear wine from the flask's stanch.

The pot-bird calls, urging more cups to drain,

The cuckoo cries, hastening to plough the plain.

Alone I go, content with this free will,

A smile of lifelong satisfaction, still.
