铁制的灯架知道夜漏漫长，
它闪烁的光芒照耀着（灯下如）蚍蜉般微小的事物。
（我）为当世留下了三条策略（却未被采纳），
也曾呈上一封奏疏陈述我的谋略。
广阔的田地需要赶紧用耒耜耕种，
巨大的洪水让我想到乘坐木筏（避祸）。
应对突发事件，我的才能确实不够用，
凭什幺声称我的主张是正确无误的呢？

The iron lampstand knows the night is long,
Its flickering light shines on the ants throng.
Three strategies I left for the world in vain,
One memorial to state my plan plain.
Vast fields need the plow driven with haste,
The great flood makes me think of a raft's waste.
To meet emergencies, my skills fall short indeed,
How can I claim my Way is true, without misdeed?
