臞庵主人天与闲，回栏飞阁临沧湾。

qú ān zhǔ rén tiān yǔ xián， huí lán fēi gé lín cāng wān。

清瘦庵堂的主人天生享有闲适，

回旋的栏杆与凌空的楼阁面对着青苍的海湾。

晴空下的水波浩渺，雁阵成行落下，

坐着看见万顷云海被穿透又复还。

人生百年究竟有何意义，都托付给了飞鸟的翅膀？

还来不及在鸳鸾仙鸟之间驻足。

此刻就须唤酒来浇灭胸中的块垒，

莫让暮色笼罩那如烟鬟般的山峦。

The master of Lean Hut is gifted with heavenly leisure,

His winding railings and soaring pavilion overlook the azure bay.

On the vast, sunlit waves, wild geese descend in a line,

Sitting, I watch ten thousand acres of clouds pierced and returning.

What is the worth of a hundred years, entrusted to a bird's wing?

No time yet to set foot among the phoenixes and simurghs.

Straightaway I must call for wine to drown my lump of care,

Lest the gathering dusk shroud the misty locks of the hills in gloom.
