心情萧瑟，空怀远大的志向，

有谁与我共同分担国家的耻辱？
未消的愤懑只能倾泻在酒杯之前。

We looked at each other, each face filled with dismay.
Barbarians have slain our generals in the town;
Locusts devour the people's fields, turning them brown.
My heart feels desolate, its lofty aims grow faint;
Pacing alone, I pity my own restraint.
Who shares with me the nation's shame, a burning pain?
Only this lingering wrath before the cup remains.
