如今你的五言诗又堪与韦应物（曾任苏州刺史）相比拟。
你笔墨的踪迹，想必还留在留台寺中吧，
遥想你的旌旗队伍，应该已经到达了石沟。
我想寄给你鼠须笔和蚕茧纸，
请你用章草字体为黄楼赋诗一首。

Unsealing the scroll, I find your vibrant script adorning the page like silver hooks,
The poem inscribed at the end speaks with even more vigorous and forceful strokes.
Long have I heard of the Eight Methods, a tradition from the Master of Calligraphy,
Now your five-character lines rival those of the poet from Suzhou, so classic and free.
The traces of your brush, I trust, are well preserved at the temple where you stay,
Your banner-bearing troops, I know from afar, have reached the Stone Gulch's way.
I wish to send you a weasel-hair brush and silken paper, fine and sheer,
And beg you, in cursive script, to compose an ode to the Yellow Tower here.
