A letter brings news of his well-being.
Who now can pluck the yellow chrysanthemums?
Alone, I gaze upon the green mountains.
Rain swells the southern riverbanks,
Autumn spreads across the five lakes, vast and wide.
As the year draws to a close, with little to attend,
We'll meet, holding fishing rods, side by side.
