胭脂般的泪水流尽，怨恨却难以消解。
不让娥皇女英二妃陪葬于舜的陵墓，
所以泪水应已浸透了雪白的枝条。

By the empty wall, where blue waters and fragrant blooms lie,
Tears of rouge are wept dry, yet the sorrow will not die.
Not letting the two consorts accompany Shun's burial mound,
Hence tears must soak the snowy branches, I surmise.
