A matchless yellow, rarest of the year.
Already gold is ground to powder fine,
And musk itself lends fragrance to the wine.
Silken sleeves in rainbow hues unfold,
Like crane-feather robes, artfully cut and sewn.
How much of this divine splendor remains?
Its distant fragrance the chrysanthemum attains.
