断裂的竹简，孔子的讲堂已毁坏；
散佚的经书，汲冢的发现也成空。
徒然寻找芸草来驱除蠹虫，
先要叹息鲁国的典籍已化为鱼。
旧日的帛书，愁苦地与函盖相连；
亡佚的篇章，怨恨那封蜡的车子。
我家的先辈训诫依然存在，
在楹柱的凿孔旁，我建造简陋的屋舍。

Broken bamboo slips, the Confucian hall decays;
Lost classics, the Ji Tomb's hollow void betrays.
In vain I seek wormwood to keep the bookworms away,
First sighing that the Lu text has turned fish, they say.
Old silk scrolls, sad, with covers linked, lie in despair;
Vanished chapters, hate the cart sealed with wax, laid bare.
The teachings of my ancestors still here remain,
By the pillar's socket, I build my humble domain.
