两只受惊的斗鸡，如玉的尘埃消散。
它们的长鸣并非效仿后郭的勇猛，
它们锋利的嘴喙意图独霸秦地。
像猫头鹰般伸长脖子挑衅敌人，
如雄鹰展翅，甘愿为此牺牲自身。
君王的恩宠究竟能有多少呢？
一旦下令催促进攻，它们便立刻听从。

Two startled fighters, jade dust vanishes all.
Their long cry is not from the rear-guard's might,
Their sharp beaks aim to dominate Qin's fight.
Like kites, they taunt the foe with necks outthrust,
Like eagles, they'd give their lives in martial lust.
How much of the lord's favor can they hold?
At his command to spur, their fate is told.
