梧桐树荫下，月光洒破台阶，
宴席上的乐声吹乱林中晚风。
浩渺的露水弥漫，无边无际，
遥望银河，清澈得仿佛虚空。
玉绳星低垂光影的那个方向，
我知道那里便是建章宫。

Evening clouds on the western hills have faded away,
The city's drumbeats echo, layer upon layer they sway.
Through plane tree shade, moonlight breaks on the steps below,
Banquet flutes scatter their tunes where wild forest winds blow.
Vast dew descends, boundless as if from nowhere it came,
The bright Milky Way stretches, a void without a name.
Where the Jade Rope stars cast their low and slanting light,
I know it must be Jianzhang Palace, looming in the night.
