边塞的八月已是暮色时分，
百草千花都已凋零，景象凄凉。
沙尘惊扰着瓯脱之地的道路，
雾气昏暗了单于统治的天空。
卫青与霍去病最初开设幕府，
辛庆忌与赵充国屡次屯守边疆。
他们在寒霜中鏖战，金戟奔突，
如月光汇聚，飞鋋疾驰如电。
雕饰的弓有六钧之劲，
犀牛皮甲被七重射穿。
一战威震瀚海，
再讨伐直抵祁连山尽头。
捷报传书禀告天子，
举杯祝酒，祈愿天子万寿无疆。

At the frontier wall, the eighth month's dusk descends,
All flowers and plants have withered, bleak and bare.
The startled sands mark the Otuo's winding trails,
The fog darkens the sky where the Chanyu reigns.
Wei and Huo first established their grand commands,
Xin and Zhao repeatedly garrisoned the border.
They clashed in frost, their golden halberds charging forth,
Like clustered moonlight, swift their flying spears did race.
Their carved bows, six jun strong, with mighty force,
Their rhino-hide armor, seven layers pierced through.
One battle swept across the vast Hanhai Sea,
Another campaign pursued to Qilian's end.
A victory dispatch reports to the Son of Heaven,
Raise cups in toast, wishing him ten thousand years of life.
