在树林下乘凉已经很久，
山西边刚刚映照出落日余晖。
兰草的花枝香气中仿佛带着幽怨，
蝉儿吃饱了肚子却依然感到空虚。
李树在歪斜的帽子外投下暗影，
棋局未终，只剩折断的木屐残留。
在这皋壤之地享受萧然自在的乐趣，
何必去羡慕池塘里的鱼儿呢？

As the mountain's west sees the first evening glow.
Orchid shoots, fragrant, nurse their own discontent,
While cicadas, full-bellied, still feel hollow within.
Plums, darkening, tilt beyond my tilted hat,
And the unfinished chess game, a broken clog remains.
Content in this rustic joy, so simple and serene,
Why should I envy the fish in the garden pond?
