The autumn saddens the grandson of the Riding Bureau, a mournful state.
Time's arrow, rugged and swift, the year's tally slips away,
With unyielding spirit, he leaves the capital's gate, come what may.
Farewell canopies scatter across the chilly plain,
Masts of departing boats brush the dawn's first light, a transient train.
In the county lodge, millet for brewing is rich and fine,
No weariness in holding the cup, time and again, with wine.
