星辰隐没，沉入榆树的光彩之中，
浩瀚的沧海转动着若木之花（指朝阳）。
刚刚晒干汉代承露盘上的清露，
便已映照出洛水女神的朝霞。
鸣叫的凤凰在梧桐山冈上声音渐远，
柔桑与桂树的枝叶在光影中倾斜。
不要再自夸光芒能照亮屋梁，
城墙上已有乌鸦在啼叫了。

The fading stars withdraw their light from elm trees' shade,
The vast sea turns to hold the radiant sun's display.
Scarce dried are dewdrops from the Han-dynasty jade,
It soon reflects the rosy clouds of Goddess's bay.
The phoenix's cry from distant phoenix tree ridge dies,
Mulberry and cassia boughs in slanting light lay.
Cease boasting of your beams that on the rafters rise,
For crows already caw atop the wall in dismay.
