月亮幽暗的光芒随着沉落的星宿一同隐去，
它似乎有意在等待朝阳的升起。
月晕残缺，只留下灰烬般的余影，
潮水平静下来，白鹭也停止了狂乱的飞翔。
它像残兵败将身处骄子之国（般窘迫），
又像大刀郎的隐语（般晦涩难明）。
今夜，方诸（承露盘）中承接的露水如同泪水，
怎能够减少流淌的数行呢？

Its fading light follows the setting stars to rest,
With conscious intent awaits the morning sun.
The halo's gap leaves but an ashen trace at best,
As tides calm down, the egret's frenzy is undone.
Like remnant troops in Jiaozi's land, proud yet forlorn,
Or hidden words of the Broadsword Lad, obscure and worn.
Tonight, the tears from the square jade vessel might,
How could they fail to lessen by a few lines' plight?
