飞蛾因为扑向火焰而被烧焦。
饥饿的凤凰在碧绿的梧桐树上找不到果实，
小小的鹪鹩却因几粒白米就吃饱了。
那个腰间系着绳索的人是谁家的子弟？
他边走边唱，又去砍柴采樵。

Leisurely, I observe all things under heaven;
Everywhere I may wander, free and unfettered.
The fish is caught by its greed for the hook;
The moth is scorched by its rush toward the flame.
The starving phoenix finds no fruit on the green parasol tree;

Who is that man, girded with a rope?
Singing as he walks, he goes to gather firewood.
