从早到晚，天色昏暗难以分辨。
苍凉中微露一点日光，
转瞬又惨淡地生起乌云。
大地一半已成了泥泞，
上天想必也厌憎这污浊的气氛。
不时听到鹄鸹鸟飞过的声音，
它们在远空自成群落。

From morn till night, a blur without a ridge.
A bleak, faint gleam of sun breaks through the gray,
Then gloom returns as clouds hold dismal sway.
The ground half turns to mire and muddy stain,

At times I hear the passing cranes' lone cry,
Forming their own flocks in the distant sky.
