读书读到眼睛昏花，字行纷乱；
努力耕作劳累，脚生老茧，终于得以歇息。
酒宴风流，容得下鸭脚般的银杏；
言语的滋味，许是鸿头般的菱角。
在芦根系船之处，是谁在敲石取火？
我在树梢开门，独自揽取这秋色。
壮年时的貂裘还完好无损吗？
放声高歌，姑且为了排解心中的郁结愁闷。

Toiling in fields till feet calloused, at last I rest and sigh.
The wine and feast, with duckfoot nuts, in elegance unfold;
The taste of words, like water caltrops, a subtle joy to hold.
Who strikes a flint by roots of reeds where my boat is tied?
Alone, I open the door atop the trees, autumn's breath espied.
Is my sable robe from youth still intact, without a tear?
I sing aloud, hoping to dissolve this prison of care.
