春光又一次与世人别离。
竹笋才刚脱去外层的笋壳，
梅子却已结出了青涩的果仁。
阅历世事真像旋转的石磨，
品读诗篇如老匠人斫轮般纯熟。
豪壮的胸怀因疾病而消沉，
白白辜负了这百年有用之身。

Sun and moon fly swift as an arrow's flight,
Spring's splendor once more bids the world goodnight.
Bamboo shoots have just shed their sheaths so new,
While plum kernels already form and brew.
To watch the world is like a grinding stone,
To read old poems, a wheelwright's skill full-grown.
My lofty dreams have fallen with my ill,
And failed this body of a hundred years' will.
