昔日听闻，在国运昌盛之时，
在此筑城，用以镇守东部疆州。
在毁坏的壕沟中，还能寻到残留的箭镞；
在荒废的祠庙前，仍立着旧时侯王的遗迹。
荆棘榛莽从未有过繁茂的日子；
田中的禾黍，又经历了几度春秋？
江面上那带着寒意的潮水，
依然如故地拍打着石头城。

This town was built to guard the eastern strand.
In broken moats, old arrowheads we trace;
Before the ruined shrine, the lord's old place.
No thriving day for thorns and brambles here;

Still beats upon the rocky shore.
