幽深的山谷寒意来得特别早，
初秋时节便穿上了夹衣。
山田里的庄稼还未成熟，
小径旁的树叶却已先行飘飞。
溪水清浅，樵夫涉水而过，
篱笆稀疏，野鹿归来栖息。
我不嫌弃生计的淡薄清贫，
只愿与世俗之人相背离。

The secluded valley feels the cold too soon,
In early autumn, I don my lined gown.
The mountain fields' grain is not yet ripe,
Yet leaves on pathside trees already fly down.
The shallow stream the woodcutter wades across,
Through the sparse hedge, the wild deer returns home.
I do not mind a life of meager means,
And gladly from the common world I roam.
