我在郊野漫步，任凭自己的性情，
穿过幽深的村庄，又走向遥远的郊垧。
池塘的水波荡漾，弥漫着粼粼波光，
坡地和田垄上，麦苗一片青翠苍苍。
灶边的妇人懂得蚕的习性，
田间的农夫熟识地形的高下。
牧童尤其令人欢喜，
他还记得相牛的经书文章。

Through deep villages and far beyond the distant mire.
The pond's waters ripple, spreading wide and free,
On slopes and ridges, wheat sprouts lush and green I see.
The kitchen wife knows well the silkworm's subtle way,
The farmer reads the land where crops will hold their sway.
The shepherd boy delights me most, a pleasing sight,
He recalls the classic texts on judging oxen right.
