在幽深的盘谷中往来居住，
余生任凭自己隐逸沉浮。
自己深知尘世之外的意趣，
已将世间机巧之心消磨殆尽。
林间的雾霭飘荡如画，
风声与泉响谱入琴音。
清猿的啼声也十分可爱，
只是请莫要在早晚发出长吟。

Deep within Pan Valley I come and stay,
My remaining life adrift, let what may.
Well I know the joy beyond the dusty sphere,
That melts away all worldly thought and care.
The forest mist drifts, forming a painted scroll,
The wind in the springs writes music for the soul.
The clear-voiced gibbons, too, are a lovely sight,
But pray, at dawn or dusk, don't start their long cry.
