古老的寺庙坐落在山林深处，
我随缘打扫出一间房舍。
本意是想依傍着水边山石，
因而得以避开世间的炎凉冷暖。
洁白的仙鹤在松树上筑巢，环境清幽；
青虫蛀蚀着橘子，散发出阵阵清香。
只要让我最终能远离俗世，
即便生活贫贱，又有什幺妨碍呢？

Deep in the woods, an ancient temple lies;
I sweep a room, as fate and chance advise.
I sought to dwell by rocks and waters clear,
And thus escape the heat and cold of year.
White cranes nest in pure pines, a spotless sight;
Green insects bore through fragrant oranges bright.
If I can stay far from the vulgar crowd,
What matters poverty, though humble and unbowed?
