在山东，他手持木铎（教化一方），
见识高超，世上难有人与他比肩。
揽镜自照，惊见鬓发已染秋霜；
观看碑文，见到了往昔的文章。
为匡救时弊，他曾上书直言进谏；
如今退隐，只想高卧于云霞之间。
帐幕之外，那些捧着经书研读的人，
在清明的朝廷里，已然建立了功勋。

In Shandong, he wielded the wooden bell, a teacher's call,
His lofty insight set him apart, beyond the common thrall.
Gazing in the mirror, he's startled by autumn-tinted hair;
Reading the stele, he sees the writings old and rare.
To save the age, he once presented bold memorials high;
Now in retreat, he longs to sleep where clouds drift by.
Outside his tent, those who study classics stand in view—
In the clear court, they've already earned honors true.
