途经野店,初次品尝到春笋的鲜嫩;
千里外寄来的短信,先于现实进入我的梦境;
The Maker of things, wearying man, is also muddled and dim,
And drives my tired horse again up the steep and rugged rim.
Passing a rustic inn, I first taste the bamboo shoots of spring;
Traversing riverside villages, at last plum blossoms I see, a welcoming thing.
A short letter from afar reaches my dreams before it arrives;
A life half spent, full of hardships, is enough to be dust in the gales.
The well-sweep, dipping and rising, what has it accomplished in the end?
Already I think of my fisher's cloak and the return I intend.
