山间生病的老者苦于百无聊赖。
古时候的人有时也喜欢饮酒，
醉了又醒来的感觉真似一种劳苦。
谁能忘却情感，去效仿枯木？
不如倚靠着几案，看猿猴嬉戏。
攀爬上下，难道是没有心意的吗？
在新生的树林里，落日时分，风声萧萧。

An ailing elder in the vale suffers endless gloom.
The ancients, too, at times loved to drink their fill,
Yet to wake from drunkenness feels truly like toil.
Who can forget all feeling, learn from withered wood?

Climbing up and down, how could it be without intent?
