忧愁少时，便爱作诗饮酒；
闲暇多了，就忽略公文簿册。
登上高楼，正当白昼时分，
倚着栏杆，眺望清澈的滁水。
风势转急，便移开纳凉的卧榻；
云朵归去，不禁想起故乡的屋庐。
那往来的桥上过客，
有谁能见到那悠游的长鱼呢？

With leisure vast, official papers I resign.
I climb the tower in the bright daylight,
And lean on rails to watch the lucid stream so bright.
As winds rise swift, I move my cooling bed;
When clouds drift home, I think of my old homestead.
The travelers crossing on the bridge, I see,
But who among them glimpses the long fish in glee?
