在周南、召南之地分治一方。
开创周朝时担任太保之职，
受封于陕地辅佐成王。
岁月久远，辽远而漫长，
山川辽阔，苍茫而渺远。
后世子孙虽然不成器，
却还能懂得追忆那甘棠遗爱。

How glorious was my ancestor's way,
He ruled a land where Southern odes hold sway.
He aided Zhou as Grand Guardian of might,
And helped King Cheng to rule with Shaan in sight.
Long years have passed, a vast and distant haze,
Mountains and rivers stretch in endless maze.
Though his unworthy offspring lack his grace,
They still recall the sweet pear's hallowed place.
