我偶尔掩上家门外出漫步，
于是便进入寺庙中游览。
农田里的瓜蔓长得长长的，
僧院中的贝花（指荷花）开得稠密。
自笑我这一生笨拙无为，
只空余一头如秋霜的白发。

The summer's sweltering heat has been swept clean.
I close my door and wander out today,
And find myself within a temple scene.
The melon vines stretch long through farmers' plots,

And only autumn's frost upon my hair to greet.
