无人肯施舍一点救命的米粮，
却有客人为杨岐的遭遇哭泣悲伤。
巨大的劫难连上天也难以避免，
灾荒之年连鬼魂也忍受饥寒。
只要还能保全这身躯存活于世，
便不敢怨恨这颠沛流离的时势。

My wife lies stiff, my servant child in sight.
No one lends rice to ease my starving pain,
Yet guests weep for Yang Qi, their tears like rain.
This vast calamity, heaven cannot shun,
In this dire year, even ghosts hunger on.
If only I can keep my body whole,
I dare not curse this fate that takes its toll.
