世态炎凉，变化多端，

有幸免遭刀斧砍伐的灾祸，
苍翠地保全自己美好的终结。

Its steadfastness accords with my heart true.
Outwardly straight and slender in its frame,
Inwardly hollow, void of wrath and blame.
The world's heat and cold shift in many a guise,
Alone, it rustles with pure breeze that sighs.

Verdant, it keeps its grace till end of light.
