它如玉石般伫立，显露出一副安闲的身形。
清雅得如同参禅悟道的僧人，
清瘦得仿佛辟谷不食的隐士。
在那翠绿的秧苗与青草之外，
在枯败的芦苇与残荷的水滨。
口腹之欲依然牵累着它，
整日寻觅着细小的鱼鳞。

A jade-like figure stands, serene and spare.
Pure as a monk in deep Zen meditation,
Gaunt as a hermit on strict starvation.
Beyond the green rice shoots and grassy plain,
By withered reeds and lotus ponds in rain.
Yet bound by body's needs, it cannot rest,
All day it hunts for tiny scales, its quest.
