墙边几株梅树如白玉般参差而立，
清幽的花朵映入眼帘，在寒冷中自显合宜。
傍晚，花香阵阵与晚风交织，吹破了花蕊，
清晨，粉白的花瓣被晨露沾湿，雪在枝头融化消逝。
故人的消息，我能向谁去打听询问？
造物主的安排，似乎也像我一般迟缓迟顿。
姑且慰藉这虚度的光阴，尽情抒发诗兴，
江边小楼上，不必吹奏那闲适的笛音。

By the wall, several trees of jade stand uneven and tall,
Their quiet blossoms, catching the eye, find coldness fitting and all.
At dusk, their fragrant ranks meet the wind that breaks through the buds' core,
At dawn, their powdered flowers, damp with melting snow, the branches adore.
From whom can I hear news of my old friend, so dear and so true?
Heaven's creation, like me, seems to dawdle and come overdue.
Let me console my wasted years by pouring out poetic delight,
No need to play the idle flute in the riverside tower's quiet night.
