野外的溪水比玉璧还要清澈，
涤荡心灵也不觉得费力。
它与天空浑然一体，不分表里，
共映明月，能照见最细微的波纹。
它碧绿的颜色正好用来磨砺长剑，
它清澈的水质适宜泛着小舟漂流。
我们淡如水的交情如今已结束了，
只留下我对着越地的波涛满怀惆怅。

Wild waters outshine jade in sheen,
To cleanse the heart, no toil is seen.
With heaven it shares no inside or out;
With the moon, its ripples fine are seen about.
Its green hue good for grinding a long sword;
Its clarity fit for a tiny boat to ford.
Our light friendship now has passed away,
Leaving me saddened by the waves of the bay.
