遥远的支流从天河落下，
水流分开山崖，光芒照射在玉璧上。
山峦因这泉水千古以来得以滋润，
长江也因这一源头而绵延长久。
风雨随时都可能兴起，
山谷中仿佛蕴藏着无数的珍珠美玉。
淄水和渑水（的清浊）想让谁来分辨呢？
但愿能借易牙的舌头来品尝鉴别。

A distant stream falls from the Milky Way,
Its light, split by the cliff, on jade walls plays.
The mountain has been moistened since ancient days;
The river draws its source from here always.
Wind and rain may arise at any hour;
Pearls and gems fill the valley, a priceless store.
Who can tell the two streams apart, I implore?
I wish Yi Ya could taste them once more.
