妇女们背着砍好的柴火归来。
腊月里鱼虾丰足，
丰收之年鸡鸭肥美。
人世间的种种是非纷扰，
应当传不到我这柴门之前。

A narrow path leads to the mountain cove,
A small boat moors by the fishing stone.
Children draw water from the stream above,
Women return with firewood on their own.
In winter's month, fish and shrimp abound;
In harvest year, chickens and ducks are round.
The world's affairs, its rights and wrongs, I find,
Never intrude upon my rustic gate of mind.
