海神驱车来到浙江之地，
西风吹拂起这水云之乡。
雷声如万鼓轰鸣，却不成雨，
雪覆千峰，只送来清凉。
持犀角弩的兵士空自紧握吴地弩弓，
戴貂珰的宦官徒然奔走于伍子胥祠前奉香。
登上高楼，且像川中鲸鱼般豪饮，
将古今兴亡全都付与那西下的夕阳。

The sea god drives his chariot to Zhejiang's shore;
The west wind stirs the realm of water and cloud.
Thunder drums ten thousand, yet no rain will pour;
Snow rides a thousand peaks, offering coolness endowed.
In vain, the rhino-armed hold Wu's crossbows tight;
The sable-eared in vain pace by Wu's shrine with scent.
Ascend the tower, drink like a whale with might,
And leave all rise and fall to the setting sun's bent.
