松树被砍下移来，长得高大茂盛，
想来它经历了晋朝又经过了唐朝。
它习惯在岩边经历风雨，
可以给人间充当栋梁之材。
嵩山二室的七位仙人一同守护着它，
任凭千棵杉树万棵桧树高低俯仰。
就像从前诸葛祠前的柏树一样，
此物……（此行残缺，意义未明）。

A pine tree, felled and moved, grows tall and free,
I think it witnessed Jin and Tang's long flow.
Accustomed to wind and rain by the cliff's lee,
It can serve as a pillar for men below.
Guarded by hermits in the twin peaks' hold,
Amid a thousand firs, it stands, high or low.
Like the cypress before Zhuge's shrine of old,
