在油菜花盛开的地方,我辨认出旧日的寺基,
荒芜的屋舍,残存的僧人,仍不忍心就此离去。
寺庙付之一炬或许自有定数,
江岸分隔南北最令人感到悲戚。
金铃塔上的铃铛仿佛在相互低语,
铁铸的佛像在风前也收敛了眉宇。
乡野的匠人不了解行客的心意,
争相研磨浓墨,捶拓那顽固的石碑。
Where rapeseed flowers bloom, I recognize the old foundation's trace,
A ruined shrine, a lone monk lingering, reluctant to leave this place.
The temple's fate to fire and ruin was perhaps by numbers sealed,
The river's banks dividing north and south, a sorrow unconcealed.
The golden bells upon the pagoda seem to whisper low,
The iron Buddha in the wind appears to knit its brow in woe.
The rustic craftsmen, unaware of what the traveler feels,
Vie to grind thick ink and strike the stubborn stele with their seals.

描绘寺庙荒芜之景,寄托物是人非、沧桑变迁的感伤。
